AFCON 2025: AOM to Ensure Air Medical Evacuations for Africa Cup of Nations

December 13, 2024

AOM Air Ambulance was selected to provide medical air evacuation coverage for the Africa Cup of Nations hosted across Morocco.

Air Ocean Maroc has been officially selected to provide medical air evacuation services for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 (AFCON 2025), hosted across Morocco from December 21 to January 18.

This is the second consecutive time that CAF — the Confederation of African Football — has entrusted AOM with this critical mandate, following the successful coverage of AFCON 2023 in Côte d'Ivoire. The selection reflects the confidence that African football's governing body places in AOM's clinical capabilities, operational reliability, and geographic reach.

For AFCON 2025, AOM will provide 24/7 standby air ambulance coverage across all host cities, with dedicated aircraft on readiness at multiple locations to ensure sub-60-minute response times to any venue. The medical team includes emergency physicians, intensive care nurses, and paramedics — all EURAMI-certified and trained in sport-related trauma and critical care transport.

The tournament will bring together 24 national teams and hundreds of thousands of supporters from across Africa. AOM's readiness plan ensures that any medical emergency — from a on-pitch injury to a serious cardiac event in the stands — can be met with an immediate, comprehensive aeromedical response.
